Re: Connecting to the internet?
Choose the NAT option in the network settings of the virtual machine. If you didn't change anything in your XP, the default is to automatically get an address (DHCP) then you should be all set.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

It shouldn't show any 'name'. That is the correct/expected behavior.GamerGuy wrote:It wont show any options for "name"
Could you be more specific? What can't you get working? The IP that you refer to is the IP of host or of the guest?GamerGuy wrote:I cant get it working. My IP is 10.0.0.18.

Re: Connecting to the internet?
What exactly have you done? Normally Internet access just works, because the default setting of NAT simply shares the host's Internet connection. If you are getting an IP of 10.0.0.18 you are not using the default settings.
