I just booted up with Centos 7 (liveCD) from a CD on Vbox and all I really see is the time and upper tool bar with battery, volume, and network icons... Top left has a lock symbol and Live System User... thats about it, is it too soon or did I mess up on boot up? I was afk when it was booting... Shouldnt there be a 'install to hard disk option?'

There should be a menu at the beginning of usually every live CD that enables you to select "Live" or "Install to HD". Please reboot your VM and check again...

I tried that, and it turns out, the first time must have went into some kind of inactive mode because I let it sit for a while before I checked on it, on the bottom of the screen there was an up arrow flashing every couple seconds pointing to a CentOS7 logo, but I couldn't get past it (EDIT: yup it was a timeout/lockout screen, you press on the arrow-up and lift it off). This time I was present during booting and once it finished the Install to HD shortcut was there.
