I have VirtualBox installed on my Macbook Pro and am using WinXP. Everything works great, even when using A VPN to connect to the my companies server.
However i would like to use it to connect to another (Windows) PC i have at home via a program called "Radmin" from famatech. In order to do so i only need to specify the public address of my server along with the port.
When i try this via VB using windows xp on my mac i get a TCP/IP error.
I assume it must be blocked somehow and all i think i need to do is use a port forwarding command in order for it to connect to the other pc.
Would this be the case? And if so how would i implement it.
Thanx
RS

Re: WindowsXP
Port forwarding only applies to NAT networking. Is that what you chose? Have you tried bridged mode?
Re: WindowsXP
I tried using the bridged method but it completely cut off access to the internet, thus using NAT is the only way I can connect to web.
With Radmin, i only need to supply the public IP and a port to connect to the remote PC, but it can't get iut.
when connecting to my work via VPN no provlem exist, so I'm not sure where the issue is.

Re: WindowsXP
Issue resolved.......
On the router i needed to open up the port in question and forward that to the server ip.
Works fine now
Thanks
