I'm trying to figure out how to launch my VM guest with certain USB devices already attached to the guest when it starts up.
I've looked through the manual and searched the forums...hopefully I didn't just miss it...
is this currently possible?
Thx

You can try to use the USB filters but with a Windows host it can be very tricky.

Re: startvm: can you attach USB devices in vboxmanage?
upon further digging, I see the option to:
VBoxManage controlvm "base" usbattach <uuid>|<address> |
This does not appear to "stay" as part of the core config. any options around that?
TIA

Ah, I thought filters only limited what could be attached to the guest. I'll test. ThxPerryg wrote:You can try to use the USB filters but with a Windows host it can be very tricky.
