Server 2008 R2 crashing after logging in

This server was virtualized with Virtual Boot from a Storage Craft backup image. This issue was occurring before so we created a new backup chain from the physical server and tried again. After logging in the desktop appears and while the system is loading it experiences a critical error, displaying the Virtual Box guru meditation. I've attached the logs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Code: Select all

VirtualBox 4.1.12 r77245 win.amd64 (Apr 3 2012 14:15:45) release log

00:00:00.373 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack (Version: 4.2.4 r81684; VRDE Module: VBoxVRDP unusable because of 'Failed to load the main module ('C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/ExtensionPacks/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack/win.amd64/VBoxPuelMain.DLL'): VERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND - GetLastError=126')

00:13:54.618 !! Guru Meditation -2701 (VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION)
Not sure if the imbalance of the VBox version and the ExtPack will cause the insertion error or not, but I do know they must match to be valid.

Good catch. I can take a look at that. I do have several other servers that were virtualized in this manner that are not having this problem. Should I still pursue getting the correct extension pack?

If it is on the same host yes. Even if not the VBox version and the ExtPack must match or there can be serious issues.
If that does not take care of the issue you should post a ticket at bugtracker so the DEVs can take a look.

I downgraded the extensions to match the version of VirtualBox. Same result. Here are the new logs.

After changing the chipset to ICH9 this VM now runs stable. This issue is resolved. Thank you for your assistance.
