Hello,
i got exactly the same error after re-plugging the usb-device. But I tried a ReinerSCT Smartcard-reader [] for homebanking.

Host: Windows2k/Linux
Guest: Windows2k (because of the HB-Software)

I would appreciate any hints too! Can I help in any way to solve this?

Another hw causing the same problem:

USB Error

I'm having the exact same issue, the system recognizes the device, and all of its details but when connecting it while windows is up under VB it returns that same exact error posted above.

Hey guys, that sounds similar to an issue i was having. i kept getting the "VERR_file not found" error when opening my settings. I found out, my installation was somehow corrupt (it happened after a virtualbox update) and i couldn't upgrade or uninstall virtualbox.

try to repair the installation using the install file, but if that fails (like it did for me), then..there's a forum post on here that tells you how to go into regedit and change a file in an HKEY folder (sorry i don't have the link) that will allow you to uninstall virtualbox. after uninstalling, you can re-install and hopefully won't get that error anymore.

Hope this helps
