[solved] USB 2.0 devices not visible in Linux guest
Posted: 11. Aug 2014, 12:28
Hello,
I'm running Virtualbox 4.3.12 on Windows 7 x64. Guest OS is Ubuntu 14.04. Both Guest Additions and Extension pack are installed. However, USB devices passthrough does not work. USB device appears to be connected (it's checked in VB USB device list), but the guest OS doesn't recognize it (see screenshot).
The attached log file was created with the following conditions:
— no USB filters used
— I was trying to connect an USB 2.0 device (USB flash drive)
How can I solve this problem?
Thank you.

I had USB sniffing software installed, so UpperFilters registry key was present; I have deleted these keys and removed the mentioned software.
