Winows 7 guests crash while rebooting

Hi,

I'm facing a problem since the VirtualBox 4.3.14 upgrade while rebooting Windows 7 guests that have IO APIC enabled. Just after the "Shutting down..." screen and/or just before the VirtualBox black-screen BIOS, I get a graphic glitch (see the attached file) and the process takes 100% of CPU on the host.

The shutdown works well. No problem when IO-APIC is disabled, and no problem with VirtualBox 4.3.12.

I use the Windows 7 VMs provided by modern.ie.

I did not find any related topic/issue. Anyone has seen/can reproduce this problem?

Thanks.

I don't know if it's causing your issue but you seem to still have the 4.3.12 guest additions installed.

I also know there is a warning about disabling IO-APIC in a Windows guest once it's been enabled.

Thanks for your answer.

Same problem occurs with the 4.3.14 Guest Additions and also without Guest Additions at all.

About disabling IO-APIC, this is just a quick workaround to fix the reboot issue, but not final solution.
