windows 8 guest powered off automatically after locking PC

Hello,
we installed windows 8 guest on windows 8 host. The version of VirtualBox is 4.2.6-82870-Win. it has been working fine and not automatically powered off after locking Host from last six months. but suddenly it is getting powered off after locking the host or remote PC through which we connected to use it.
we changed "sleep mode" settings in guest to "never" but we unable to change " Turn off hard disk after " options to ' Never".
The nested paging in the guest settings also disabled.
we visited related posts about this but those solutions were also related to change power management settings only. but this solution is not fixing the issue.
please reply solution to this issue.
the windows 8 guest is not activated.
is windows 8 activation effecting or cause for automatic poweroff ?
i refreshed the guest using bootable CD/DVD image but then also the guest is powering off when it is idle for 20 minutes.
could anyone provide solution for this issue?
