Virtualbox not working on Windows 7 64bit

VirtualBox isn't working for me at all.
If I start 4.3.14 it just freezes, while version 4.2.26 is starting at least, sometimes.
In the past I never had problems with it. I just installed it and it worked.

I'm using Panda Cloud Antivirus, but I already deactivated it and it doesn't make a difference as far as I can tell.

Do you mean that you can't start the GUI, or that you can't launch a VM? If the latter it's the VM log we need - see Minimum information needed for assistance.

Yes it's the GUI that is freezing.
With 4.3.14 it freezes immediately when I launch the program.

With 4.2.26 I was able to begin the creation of VM but when i wanted to create the vdi it just closed itself without any message.
But it happened before I actually created the vdi. I was still typing stuff/name whatever and it just closed.
After that 4.2.26 als froze when I started it.

I don't know what could cause this.

Another thing I noticed is that after it freezes and I kill it the gui process is still in the taskmanager.

Did you run the VBox installer using "Run as administrator"?

Nope.
I'm gonna try it.

EDIT:
I tried it, but it doesn't really change anything.
Installed as admin and launched as admin.
I just freezes and game over XD.

EDIT2:
I also just gave my user full rights in the virtualbox folder.
No change.

EDIT3:
A simple restart after the installation doesn't fix it either.



I already searched for this problem but couldn't find anything except problems starting VMs.
I'm rather experienced with computers and usually I know how to get my stuff working.
But with this one I have no idea what to do.
I can't find the error anywhere and I don't know how to fix it XD.
I guess I just have to accept that it doesn't work on my current windows installation.

Although the windows installation is pretty fresh. Maybe 1 month old or something.
I was wrong the installation is older. I have windows 8.1 installed too.
Maybe I'll try with that later.

on a fresh install of W7

4.3.14 it freezes
i have droped it (unistall, clean registry, detroy all track of th 4.3.14)
i have installed 4.2.26
i run it as an administator ( 4.2.26 ),

4.2.26 is at the same technical security level as 4.3.14 and doesn't allow many "security/antivirus/extension" applications trying to inject their DLLs into the VBox running environment.
If you want to make sure that this is not your problem try using 4.3.12 or 4.2.24 from the older VirtualBox builds.

Yes. A gazillion of them. From antivirus (the most common culprit) to graphics drivers, to window managers, to... If you are patient enough you can read the thread that describes several ones:
4.3.14 conflicts with anti-virus packages almost everything.
