Host: Windows Surface Pro 2 Running Windows 8.1 With Update
Guest: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Phone: Nokia Lumia 822 Windows Phone 8
I use Tether-X Pro on the phone and Virtual Router and Proxifier to connect to the internet on the host. It sets up a proxie server and routes all protocals through it.
See: http://forums.wpcentral.com/windows-pho ... e-8-a.html
The process is to use Virtual Router to setup the host as a router. Then connect the phone's wifi to the host. Start Tether-X and start is proxie engine. Finally, use Proxifier to route all protocals through the IP address Tether-X sets up. It works fine for applications running directly on the host.
I am trying to get a Windows 7 Guest to go through the proxy service. The problem is there isn't a way to select the proxie in the Network section. I have a VirtualBox only network, NAT and my wireless connection enabled with the wireless defined as bridged. But none of the networks show internet available in the guest.
Any suggestions on how to get this working would be appreciated.

Configure the proxy into in the guest; not in the VM config.
