Oracle Linux Dev Days 11c works, 12c does not

For the last year (maybe more) I've been using the Oracle Linux Dev Days 11c ova (is this called an appliance?) where I run the oracle 11c database on my windows 64 bit 8.1 host via virtual box and linux oracle.

Now I would like to try out the new Orcal Linux Dev days 12c ova.
When I download and try to boot this new vm after having installed the lastest version of Oracle Virtual Box I get this error:
VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not aviailable on your system. You 64 bit guest will fail to detect a 64 bit CUP and will not be able to boot.

Really? Why?
I remember resolving this problem before with the Oracle Linux Dev Days 11c Database for Virtual box. This still boots and runs fine! This leads me to believe I have the special hardware: the VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration. I remember downloading special utilities to confirm that I do indeed have this feature.

So are there two versions of the Oracle Linux Dev Days for Oracle 12c? Perhaps I cannot run a 64 bit guest? I tried to find a 32 bit version of the Oracle Linux Dev Days 12 c and could not find any indication that it is 32 bit or 64 bit.

Prior to my recent failed attempt at booting Oracle 12c, I installed Virtual Box http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/serve ... teId=otnjp that says Windows (32-bit/64-bit) VirtualBox-4.3.12-93733-Win.exe . I was not prompted for 64 or 32 bit.

Hmm... What am I doing wrong? I want to try out the lastest and greatest features of Oracle 12c database.
Thanks
