Partitioning Problem

I've a guest CentOS runnning. Originally I added 20GB of space to the v-hard-drive. I then expanded it by another 20GB. I used a Live GParted cd to resize the new partition to make it 39GB. But when I load CentOS it says only 3.6GB available. I also installed GParted on CentOS and checked, it is 39GB. Is there a way to solve this?

No snapshots. Yes it's using lvm.

Then you need to expand the partition using the lvm CLI. Not a VirtualBox issue.
