virtualbox.org

I have Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit as host and Windows 7 64 bit as guest. But whenever I open virtual box from Ubuntu it opens for a second and immediately closes. The virtual box starts working only when internet connection is ON. When internet connection is not there, the virtualbox never opens. WHat could be the solution?
