I'm running Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9.3 with the latest version of VirtualBox. I created a dynamically allocated HD via the VB wizard. I misunderstood the concept and now have a virtual HD that's nearly full. I've installed Windows 7 Pro and all of the updates. I've now created a new virtual HD that is much larger and attached it to the controller that my original HD is attached to. Is there a simple way to clone my original installation (Win 7 Pro) to my newly created HD? I don't have a lot of windows technical expertise so any simple help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

you have a typo... should work

You need to either be in the folder that has the *.vdi or provide the absolute path.

Edit: and you need to provide the exact file name and extension.

the easy way... first in the terminal type in... VBoxManage modifyhd then drag the .vdi file into the terminal window, then type in the rest... --resize 76800

okay - i did that and now i've got this: iMac27:~ 20imac$ VBoxManage modifyhd /Users/20imac/VirtualBox\ VMs/Windows\ 7\ Pro/Windows\ 7\ Pro.vdi --resize 76800
0%...10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80%...90%...100%

I'm getting close but I'm not sure what to do with these percentages. My original virtual hd is 25gb and I want to make it 75gb (76800).

the percentages are how far along it was resizing you now have a 75GB drive but you will have to expand the partition inside your Windows 7 guest.
