Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object

Hello,
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1
I recently uninstalled an older version of VirtualBox (which was working) in order to upgrade to the latest version. I'm not sure if the uninstall left something hanging around but now I get this error when trying to launch VirtualBox:
VirtualBox - Critical Error
Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.
This application will now terminate.
Details: Callee RC: E_NOINTERFACE (0x80004002)
I found a previous thread on this issue and I can get passed this error by changing the compatibility mode to Vista SP1 but that caused other errors so I'd like to get to the root of the problem.
Attached is my VirtualBox.xml. I can provide any other log files requested.
Any ideas?

This error usually means the installation went wrong.
1. uninstall what you have installed
2. reboot
3. install under your regular account but use "Run as Administrator"
4. try again

Sadly that log doesn't give us any useful info. Maybe others will have something for you

Finally! This did it for me. Since I haven't been here for a day yet, I probably can't post this u-r-l so I'll have to mangle it:
