Making a Fedora System a VM Image

So I am testing Fedora on my laptop and I am not happy with it as a base OS as I thought I would be. I'm going to switch back to Windows 7. However, I want to keep it as it is useful for running the ChefDK and testing my files locally.
Is there a way I can make an image of this system, and use it on my Windows machine as a VM in VirtualBox?

You can image the host drive using dd or CloneZilla, and convert the raw image to VDI disk image format using VBoxManage or CloneVDI. You then create a VM around the VDI.

I should also have said: VBoxManage is the officially supported tool, however CloneVDI would actually be preferable since it will allow you to compact the raw image (free up unused disk space) during the VDI conversion - just turn on the "Compact" option.
