I know this has been posted before, most recently here: (see OS Lion, track pad and Virtual Box) , but I am continuing to have problems with using the trackpad on my macbook pro in my guest Windows 8.1 VM.
Virtualbox: 4.3.12
Guest: Windows 8.1
Bascially, the darned thing just doesn't work, two finder scrolling horizontally, vertically, nothing. I have installed the guest additions. That fixed the screen sizing problem I was having but this pesky mouse integration issue remains.

Re: macbook trackpad in Windows 8.1
Update:
Oddly enough, I found that what was messing up the two finger swipe was the Guest Additions. After uninstalling these it worked again, but the screen sizing was back to being messed up. I guess if I have to pick between the two I am going to go with the two finger trackpad scrolling. It would be nice if they both worked though.

Re: macbook trackpad in Windows 8.1
I've tried it with and without GAs, just as you did. The vertical scrolling works regardless, so I cannot confirm what you're seeing. The horizontal scrolling is another thing. With GAs it acts more like a PgUp/PgDn vertical scrolling. Without the GAs it works as expected; horizontal scrolling. Haven't looked in the Bugtracker to see if there is anything there. Will look later on and update if necessary. BTW, host is running Snow Leopard on a MBP 17 from early 2011, guest is Win8.1.

Re: macbook trackpad in Windows 8.1
Tested in OSX 10.9.3, VB 4.3.12
Horizontal scrolling doesn't work with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 with guest additions installed.
not with the Apple Mouse, the Magic Mouse, the Touch Pad or a Track Pad.
I tested the Touch Pad with PS/2, USB Tablet and USB Multi-Touch settings. the other devices with USB Tablet set.
they work fine in Linux guests.

Update: I noticed that I had the parallels additions installed as well. After I removed these, everything with the horizontal scrolling worked with Virtual Guest Additions.
