Virtual Machine Display Size

Hello,

I am a new and beginner user of Virtualbox.
I've created my first machine on which I've installed the latest Ubuntu OS.
All is fine except that the machine is only displayed in a tiny window (about 5 inch wide!) even in full screen mode.
Is that a built-in limitation or is there a way to increase it size?
Thank you

I am using Virtualbox 4.3.12 and cannot find the corresponding guest extension.

Launch your Ubuntu guest. Before you install the guest additions open the terminal in Ubuntu and type or paste...

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install build-essential
hit return, enter your password, once it's done close the terminal.

Under "Devices" in the taskbar, select "Insert Guest Additions CD Image". A dialog box will open asking you if you want to run... Click "Run" wait for it to finish. Restart Ubuntu.

Thanks a lot, I just do as told and now it works!
