I'm looking for a method to have a particular VM respond with the hosts data when queried for Model and Manufacturer.
I don't care if I have to create a new VM to accomplish this.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

well shucks. the reason why I asked this...rpmurray wrote:User Manual: 9.12. Configuring the BIOS DMI information
was because I couldn't imagine any other reason one would want to "Reflect Host Model & Manufacturer" other than to bypass Microsoft's OEM license, to "fool" MS into thinking the VM was actually a legit install. now I will never know.loukingjr wrote:Queried how?

Who knows? Maybe the OP will satisfy your curiosity with a reply, but my guess is this will be their one and only post in the forums.loukingjr wrote:Now i will never know.

Re: Reflect Host Model & Manufacturer
I guess you're wrong.
The answer would have been WMI queries, because There is a certain family of malware that refuses to run on my VM as it queries those entries and if it finds certain entries it quits.
@rpmurray
Thanks for your answer.
