[NEVER MIND] Windows 7 guest is dissatisfied

Hey! I have been running Windows 7 guest on my linux desktop host for some while. Decided to move the guest to an external HD, so that I could be able to run it from anywhere (namely my laptop in addition). However, when I try to run the guest on my laptop, Windows can't boot because it detects change in hardware. I have tried to synchronize the following settings:

General is identical
System is identical
Storage is identical. At first, "Controller: IDE" was empty. I linked it to a disc file but it still didn't work.
Audio is identical.
Network is identical. Also under Advanced settings, where I have also matched the MAC address.
Serial ports are not used on either settings.
Under USB, on both hosts it's set to "Enable USB Controller" but nothing more than that. So they are identical.
Shared folders are not identical but I don't see how this should prevent Windows from booting.

Is there anything more I can do? Windows still refuses to boot.
Thanks!

How did you move the VM? If you moved the VDI and then attached it to a new VM then you're dead in the water. You must move the entire VM folder.

By the way, the VM will always be able to detect when a CPU has changed. Desktop and laptop CPUs in particular are often very different.

The problem was indeed just that I copied it wrongly. It now works just fine. Thanks
