URGENT HELP.

Two hours after I installed virtualbox, I had a look on my Netspeedmonitor program to check this day's download and upload and it says I used up 500GB! What the actual SPAM_SEARCH, virtualbox. I apparently was downloading at 11mb/s and more ever since I installed virtualbox.
I can't look at my usage on the website because it only updates on the following day at 1am.
My question is, did virtualbox <censored> and take all that usage, which is gonna cost me a <censored> arm to pay, or did netspeedmonitor detect local data transfer that doesn't count on my internet usage?

It'd be nice if you don't comment unless you actually have an answer. I'm asking something pretty serious and important here.

it would be nice if you could clean up your post but we can't all get what we want.

Virtualbox doesn't download anything of its own, you will always be prompted. and for those, you're only some MB off, not GB. Virtualbox is actually open source so you can check yourself that it doesn't randomly download 500GB out of the box.
Either the value is not the real one, or it's something else, or something you ran in a guest - all which Virtualbox has no control over.

Just to add to what noteirak said, in order to transfer 500GBs in two hours, your connection speed would have to be 596.5Mbps.

It appeared there was 500gb downloaded and 70gb uploaded between my PC and Vbox locally even though I didn't set it up; the numbers didn't show on my ISP so apparently Vbox likes to receive and send data locally even though you never let it do so.

Nope that just doesn't wash.
Show me proof that VirtualBox does anything other than provide the environment for you to install a guest in and then we can talk.

Theres your proof, I downloaded virtual box at 4pm exactly. At 7-8pm I checked the usage on my program and it showed 500gb downloaded and 70gb uploaded during those three~ hours, starting progressively EXACTLY after I installed virtual box. I checked my graph and it was showing 11mb+ download rate. The MOMENT I uninstalled virtual box, my rate went back to ~1kb/s. That said, at 1am I looked at the updated list on my ISP website and it didn't show those stats, meaning that my program picked up local trafic between the Vbox software and my PC, without EVER allowing it to do so.
Don't ..... me, I know what happened, I've seen it and I know what I'm talking about, it's not a coincidence so you can keep those disgusting disrespectful replies to yourself. Instead of ....... on people's head you should be investigating the problem and getting it fixed, not be all like "The earth is flat and if you don't think so I'm cutting your head off" kind of guy. How ........ unprofessional is this company and its forum administrators.
Theres no way I could download over the internet that fast, and I also said those stats didn't show up on my ISP, meaning that it was data transfer going from my pc to something else on my pc, which was Vbox.

Well, Virtualbox doesn't have any function which will connect to the Internet and download anything by itself.

Well that earned him one week of ban with this aweful attitude, lack of respect towards people trying to help and the language.
