Lubuntu: VBox Addiotion installed but not working

Hi,

I'm running a Lubuntu Vbox in my Windows 8, and I have sucessfully installed the VBox additions supplied by Virtualbox, having installed updates, dkms, build-essential and linux-generic beforehand.

Yet I'm still unable to resize the window. I have 128MB of video memory provided, so that isn't the source as well.

Any help? I can't seem to find what's wrong.

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment )
Also the guest /var/log/vboxadd-install.log ( as an attachment )

How do I access that?

The guests log file can be obtained by right clicking the guest in the main manager.
The /var/log/vbox-install.log must come from the guest. The exact location is hinted in the information I posted. Use terminal or file manager.

I shut down the guest and now I'm having

Could it be related? I''ve tried dettaching the superfluos VBoxGuestAdditions.iso but it keeps coming back

It's just that I can't open the logs while this error is on, and I having some dificulties dealing with it, as removing the extra .iso from "Optical Disks" in "Virtual Media Manager" isn't having any effect (it shows up again there if I close and reopen the manager).

Zip the guests *.vbox file and post that here.
The file is located in the main VirtualBox VMs folder ans under the folder that holds the guest and its control file.

As for the fullscreen problem, here are the logs:

If you enable hardware virtualization in your bios you will have a much better experience with the guest

According to the install log yo0u have the guest additions installed. Why do you think they are not?
Look in the device tab and see if auto-resize is enabled.

The auto-resize option is greyed out.

Yes. I also changed the BIOS as you suggested.
