seems to be supported according to Intel website: http://ark.intel.com/Products/VirtualizationTechnology

There is no log file.

The software will not load!

I said any VM will do. For example, create a 32bit Linux VM and run it to get a log. Ideally run it with and without VT-x.

If you cannot provide basic diagnostics then your speculations will be as good as ours.

you said you had a generic i5, there is no Intel chip with the model 4670B

it is just generic I-5 quad, beside Intel website shows Vt-X supported, and the Bios shows that also

I don't think you under stand

The VB for windows is 32/64 bit installer

this installer will NOT in Load VB

so how am I to create a 32 bit or 64 bit log, without a VB to install??

install the 32bit windows guest then post the log. Or download a Linux .iso and install it and post the log.

@peagsis,

Try changing the Execute Disable Bit: Yes in bios and see if it makes a difference.

nope did nothing!!!

same error; trying to install VB 4.3.12 says this is a 32 bit version, go use 64 bit version, VB 4.3.6

4.36 gives the same error when trying to install :O
