Can't run on Macbook AIR - no CD drive

Post by Antonella »

Hello,

I'm trying to run Virtual Box Windows7 and Windows XP on a MacBook Air. However, I keep getting empty drive & fatal error, and can't go any further. I've tried some of the tips I found on the forum searches, but nothing seems to work.

All the wizard screens show options that are not available to me (e.g., bootable hard drive checkbox).

Can someone provide some steps on how to enable this?

Thanks,
Antonella

you have to install Windows 7 and Windows XP as guests. Which means you either have to buy an external CD/DVD drive so you can mount the Windows Install disks or you have to have an .iso of them. VirtualBox doesn't come with Windows XP or Windows 7.
