Hey guys,
No long time no chat but sure enough I'm back with another issue. I recently upgraded my iMac OS X to 10.9.3 and have instantly come to regret it as VirtualBox seems to not be compatible with it.
Does anyone know if there is any update I can try in order to make VirtualBox run properly? Right now I just see a big white X through VirtualBox on my toolbar and really need access to it for work purposes.
If it matters, I am currently running Windows XP on my VirtualBox. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: VirtualBox On Mac OS X 10.9.3?
UPDATE: I have tried installing VirtualBox 4.3.12 multiple times but receive an error message each time that reads "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
When I try to click on the current VirtualBox installed on my iMac that will not open, the message I receive says "You can't open the application VirtualBox because it may be damaged or incomplete". Needless to say it was working fine until I updated my OSX

First of all, VirtualBox 4.3.12 runs just fine on 10.9.3. As far as your problem, try using the VirtualBox_Uninstall.tool before you try and reinstall.

Got you, thank you for the response, I will give that a try once I get back to my iMac. Will I have to reinstall Windows and the corresponding softwares once I use the uninstall tool and install the new version of VirtualBox? I was trying to avoid this scenario as much as possible if so but if that's what I have to do then so be it.loukingjr wrote:First of all, VirtualBox 4.3.12 runs just fine on 10.9.3. it doesn't erase any of your guests. just the program and some miscellaneous files.
