Windows 8.1 64 Bit and VrtualBox 64 Bit

Post by wdaub »

I've tried down loading VIrtualBox V4.3.12 three times now only to find out that there is NO Program that runs on Windows 8.1 64 Bit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Download the one and only Windows version and install it. If our 80+ year old non-technical users can work it out then surely you can do it too.
Edit:  Make sure you use "Run as administrator" when launching the installer, and bear in mind that Win8's Hyper-v service loaded at boot time will prevent VBox from working properly for certain guests.

I'm sure Microsoft would be very surprised to learn nothing runs on their OS.
