The Win7 guest worked fine yeasterday on my 64-bit Kubuntu 14.04 (i.e. KDE plasma desktop of Ubuntu). But today after I upgraded system to new kernel (see current uname -a output: Linux ThinkPad-T510 3.13.0-27-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 15 18:06:16 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux), the Win7 guest is no longer able to launch - it always crashes at Starting Windows splash. See the attached VirtualBox log.

Define what crash means to you.
Log file does not show an issue assuming you sent the right log file.

As I said the guest is now no longer able to launch - it hangs at boot animation "Starting Windows" for a moment and then terminates abruptly to the VB control panel. This happens right after new kernel (3.13.0-27-generic) was updated. Here're 2 more logfiles picked from .VirtualBox directory, the previous logfile VBox.log is in home directory. I'm not sure what causes this since I can't figure it out from these logfiles, but the truth is VB can't start Windows guest on my laptop. I'll try to see if it can install a new Windows guest - I really doubt it.

This will stop a boot if you have USB-2 enabled in the guest settings.
Code: Select all
