Trying to increase disk size

I'm not terribly tech savvy. I want to increase the disk size of my virtual machine from 20GB to 50GB. I tried using the command line, but I keep getting messages that it doesn't recognize the command. Thinking I could just export my machine, I created a new virtual disk of 100GB. How can I get my existing machine onto the new larger disk? Will an exported machine recognize the larger disk?

Thanks for the reply. I've looked at the topic you linked to before. The problem is getting ANY vboxmanage command to be recognized. I've used it from the root directory and from the Virtual Manager directory. DOS is not recognizing my command.

I assume you really mean the command line instead of DOS.
If this is a Windows host then you can do one of two things.
1) you must be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work, or
2) install
CloneVDI Tool and use that.

Yes, I did mean command line. I will follow your suggestions. Thanks, again.
