VB installer crashes on Win7x64.
VB installer crashes on Win7x64.
Host system is Win7x64; guests are many. Currently I use VB 4.2.16. Today I started the installer of 4.3.12. Then I pressed "Cancel", "Yes" and "Finish" buttons. And installer crashed. The behavior of previous verions was the same. I do not even try to install new versions. I just try a new installer with this simple test procedure, and see again and again that new versions of the product are buggy. As I wrote in viewtopic.php?f=6&t=59238 , I have not seen a workable installer since 4.2.16 version. Are there some chances to see a workable product?

Re: VB installer crashes on Win7x64.
It seems that in the previous thread that you started, you managed to get the problem solved (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=59238#p275812). Doesn't that solution (Run as administrator) work now?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Re: VB installer crashes on Win7x64.
The problem was not solved. "Run as administrator" can be considered as a solution, only if a program explicitly requires that. It must not just crash, when started without administartor rights. It must just point out that admin rights are required and suggest to close the installer (without crash). Usually, installers just ask for admin rights; they do not even need to be restarted. I wrote this already in viewtopic.php?f=6&t=59238#p275812 , and I see no reason to change my opinion.
