Problem with TFS Explorer in Windows 2008 R2 64 bit

Post by kLeZ »

Hi all,
I'm experiencing a problem with TFS Explorer in a windows 2008R2 guest.
I'm working (sadly) with Microsoft technologies, so I use a Windows 2008 R2 guest @64-bit.
My dev env is Visual Studio 2010 32-bit, TFS Explorer (integrated in VS2010) SQL Server 2008 R2 64-bit and SharePoint 2010 64-bit.
I noted that when I navigate the TFS tree with the built-in explorer the entire vm freezes and then crashes.

I have latest VirtualBox at the moment (4.3.12) and the latest guest additions. Guest additions were installed in SafeMode and I installed the WDDM 3D driver, instead of the safer one.
Now I tried to figure out if it can be a video driver problem so I uninstalled Guest Additions, and I reinstalled cleanly without 3D support.
My VM configuration is attached to this post.
I use Gentoo GNU/Linux, and I compiled VirtualBox from sources, attached my emerge --info '=app-emulation/virtualbox-4.3.12'.

Thanks to all.

Please post a VM log file: Right click on VM, Show Log, save "VBox.log" to a file, zip it and post it here. I don't know what that first file is that you posted, but it isn't a VM log file.

I see that you posted an xml. Did you rename this from ".vbox"? I ask because internally it looks like a ".vbox", not an old xml.
