Install Error with version 4.3.12-93733

Hello, I am trying to upgrade/install version VirtualBox-4.3.12-93733 and I am running into the following error.

Action 11:14:55: VBoxFatalErrorDlg. Dialog created
DEBUG: Error 2888: Executing the TextStyle view failed
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2888. The arguments are: TextStyle, ,
Action ended 11:15:01: VBoxFatalErrorDlg. Return value 2.
Action ended 11:15:01: INSTALL. Return value 3.

I did have version VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406 installed on Windows 7 x64 and was asked to upgrade. I did try this and cannot seem to get it installed, nor am I able to get version VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406 to run/install anymore.

I have cleaned out the c:\program files\oracle folder and cleaned the registry, rebooted several times, all without success.

Any ideas here?

I too, am getting an install error. The previous version VBox worked with the exception of no networking, but at least I could play around in Linux. During the update install, it uninstalled the old version, got through most of the install, rolled back the install and said Fatal Error during install. That's it- no error message or error number. It simply states fatal error with no clue as to what the heck is wrong. I am using a Dell Latitude E6430, Core i7, 4GB Ram. Any help would be appreciated. I have gone in and found every trace of VBox and manually deleted it, and restarted a bazillion times.

same here. win 7: cannot install. no error message. i found no log or anything anywhere.

Tried again with the recently released VirtualBox-4.3.14-95030-Win.exe version and I am getting the same......oh well.....on to the next.....

I have the same install problem. Both V4.3.12 and 4.3.14 fail to install. Error message is attached.

My System:
o Win 7 ultimate, V6.1 sp1 with all important updates installed.
o Symantec Endpoint Protection V12.1.2015 (disabling it does not change anything)

So, it looks like version VirtualBox-4.3.20-96997-Win is finally installing normally on Windows 7x64.

I have this same problem in 4.3.28-100309.
