Malware on ISO before making VDI - Dangerous for host?
I am running a windows 8 host. I have an ISO file that contains malware. Is it safe to make a VDI with that ISO?

"Malware" can't do any harm unless you run it. As long as the ISO is never mounted in anything except a VMs virtual CD drive then nothing on it can affect anything except the VM, and not even that if autorun is disabled in the guest.
How do you plan to turn an ISO into a VDI? And what would be the purpose? ISOs can be used directly in a VM.
