virtualbox may be linked to BSOD + cannot uninstall it

Post by gerinimo »

Virtualbox may be linked to a BSOD

I got a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ndis.sys address 880595CC

ndis.sys is network card related. It happened soon after installing virtualbox.

In device manager I have a load of network drivers I guess added by virtualbox

i've attached a pic of device manager a pic of the bsod and a zip of some minidumps

it's windows 7 32bit.

now needing to go in with safe mode without networking.
When I try to uninstall it, (programs and features..oracle virtualbox..uninstall) explorer crashes with a little window saying "Windows explorer has stopped working" and I choose "restart the program" and it restarts it. There is a 'debug' option but then it just says "preparing to uninstall" and offers "check online for a solution" and "restart this program" and it restarts explorer. And if I choose to uninstall oracle virtualbox it just causes an explorer crash again.
