Hi there
The solution was that they took their software and instead of having it in an "installer", they sent it to me as a zip file.
I was then able to unzip the files and have all the elements in a folder and so run the software.
What helped, was they I could show them it was the wat the software was being installed that was the issue and not the software itself....
