Cannot see USB devices on win7 32

Post by Dadeur »

Dear all,
I use VB 4.3.10 on a win7 pro 32bit host pc. My guest OS is winXP 32bit (but I don't think this matters).
I already installed "Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.10-93012".

When I try to list USB devices under settings->USB I see: <no device available>; but the device is correctly seen by host...
I tried several USB devices (pen-drive, cam, ...) but no one is visible.

I also tried to repair VB installation using "run as administrator" and run VirtualBox.exe using "run as administrator" but nothing changed.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot.

The USB settings panel just lists the USB filters you have added to the virtual machine. If you haven't added any, it will be empty.

To connect a USB device to the machine, either create a filter for it with the machine stopped, or else virtually plug it in when the machine is running (either from the Devices | USB Devices menu, or using the USB icon at the bottom of the screen.)

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain myself well... I cannot see any device when I press "add new USB filter" icon, it say: <no device available>.
Unfortunately no USB devices are listed either from the Devices | USB Devices menu, or using the USB icon at the bottom of the screen.
