Installation/Running Problems VB 4.3.10

Post by vgreen »

Hi,

I installed Virtual Box 4.3.10 recently and when I ran it, an error message appeared which advised me to copy my logged information and post it to this community. I decided first to uninstall and reinstall but wasn't able to uninstall. I therefore attempted to reinstall and it gave me the option to "remove". I clicked on it but it couldn't remove the program because I had deleted the files on the C drive. I'd like to be able to completely uninstall the program and start again.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

Cheers,

VG

Unless you can give precise details of error messages - and those log files wouldn't hurt either - then there isn't really much that can be done to help you.

Thanks for the reply mpack.

I didn't write down the precise error message. I've attached the log. I hope you can help.

Cheers,

VG

You're allocating RAM you don't have to the VM. The most you can afford on this host is around 1GB.

I'm also seeing an error having to do with audio inputs which I don't really understand (i.e. I don't understand why VBox cares). If this error persists then you might have to disable audio in the VM settings. This problem may be due to having an unusual guest, i.e. XP64bit - the drivers might not be all up to scratch.

mpack,

Thanks. My laptop is due for a service, so I'll ask them to look at the problem as I'm not very computer savvy.

I appreciate your help.

Cheers,

VG
