Added a PCI-E card, and now Ubuntu won't load!

Post by Prospero »

Hi all,

I'm using VirtualBox to run Ubuntu under Win 8.1. Everything was working perfectly, but then I slotted in a Firewire PCI-E card. Now Ubuntu will not load. If I remove the card, it works again. I'd be most grateful if someone could tell me what's wrong!

Many thanks,

Anthony

VirtualBox doesn't support FireWire as far as I know.

I'm afraid that "it doesn't work" (a.k.a, "Ubuntu will not load") tells us nothing useful. Exact symptoms, error messages, and a VM log please.Minimum information needed for assistance.
