VM won't start or shutdown with host startup/reboot

Hi All-

I created a task to run at startup using windows task scheduler to start up a VM.
Both the host and guest are Win7 64 bit
task is as follows:
trigger - at startup
Action start a program c:\lee\startVM.cmd
settings allow to be run on demand, if fail restart every 1 minute, stop if running longer than 3 days
History says it ran

Script
cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox
ping red.com -n 100 > c:\startVM.txt
VBoxHeadless --startvm RolandBackup
REM use task scheduler to run at startup

I know the script ran because it creates c:\startVM.txt and has all the pings in it but
the VM simply does not start.

If I run that script manually it starts. WTH?

VBoxHeadless --startvm RolandBackup

Try to change the above to:
"C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxHeadless" --startvm RolandBackup
If that doesn't work try:
"C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxManage" startvm RolandBackup --type headless

I found this http://vboxvmservice.sourceforge.net/ which runs the VM as a service. Does the trick. Tried the various iterations of vboxmanage and vboxheadless and it it just wouldn't work.

I'm running 2k8 R2 with Vbox 4.3.15. I have several linked clones and have been trying to get them to start upon the physical server boot or reboot. The error i receive is the below.

All the vms are able to be started via a shortcut. However pasting that shortcut, which is the snapshot, into a task in task manger then trying the boot up won't work. Any try this before on linked clones.

Looks like somebody forgot to put quotes around a path.
