Auto start VM without logging in to Windows
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on here. I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked, but I was unable to find an exact answer. I am running a server in an Ubuntu VM on a Windows 7 host, and I was wondering if there is a way to set up a Windows service so that it starts in the background before a user has logged in to Windows. The company IT department likes to remotely (and arbitrarily) power cycle machines on the network, leaving the VM and the server hosted within it down until someone logs into that machine. I realize that there are ways to script the machine to start once a user logs in, but I am trying to create a situation where it is never necessary to have any human intervention in bringing the server back online.
