A serious problem with linux in virtualbox

Post by Gjava »

Hi
I have a problem with linux distributions in virtualbox.
I install Mageia and ubuntu 10.4, mais there are not working well. I had try to download some paquages to install it on my virtual machine but something is wrong. I observe that all virtual machines are limited i.e all basics programs like "make" for compilations, yum for downloads do not exist in wirtual machines. All virtual machines seem limited, and I cannot add easly new softwares . Can someone give me a solution for this problem ?
Thank you

This is a problem with the guest OS, not with VirtualBox. Many distros choose to not install developer tools. It's up to the user to install what they want.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
