Hi
I've downloaded the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.006 image from Oracle Support and I'm trying to run it on a Windows 2008 R2 (64bit) VM.
When i try and start the image, i receive the above message. Has anyone come across this? I've attached my log file reference.
Please let me know if there's more info i can provide.
Thanks in advance
Andy

That will always happen if you don't have hardware virtualization. You cannot run a 64-bit OS without it.
How you enable it depends on your hardware, since it is a BIOS option if it is supported by the CPU.
You don't have Hyper-V enabled on the server, do you? This will grab VT-x at boot time and prevent other programs from accessing it.

He's running VirtualBox inside a VMWare VM. Nested VMs are not supported.

This is possible under VMWare... (http://www.veeam.com/blog/nesting-hyper ... sxi-5.html) Though can != should here...
If you are INCREDIBLY patient and don't mind bringing:
1) The uppermost-level host
2) The mid-level guest; AND
3) the Hyper-V VM
To their knees, you can try this in VMWare. I tried it: once, JUST once. Because I needed to see if HyperV was contributing to a problem. Never again.

Thanks for the replies guys!
I think I'll just try and scrounge some physical kit from the IT guys....though that may prove more painful than trying the last posts suggestions
