Dual Monitor Windows 2000

Post by ericjoes03 »

Good afternoon, second time I am posing this question. I am running virtualbox on a Windows 7 machine host with a virtual windows 2000 sp4 machine which actually connects to a domain. I cannot seem to get the dual monitor to work however. I do have the dual monitor set up on the host and do have 2 monitors selected on the settings got virtualbox, but no dice. Does dual monitor not work with windows 2000 virtual machines?

Did you configure Windows itself to use both monitors?

Do you mean the host or guest? Host show both monitors. When I open guest(Windows 2000), it doesnt give me dual monitors as being available.

Incidentally, monitors in the guest are simulated using windows, and hence have nothing to do with the number of monitors on your host - in the same way that the number of disk drives in your guest has no connection to the number in your host.

We know that the VirtualBox hardware simulation correctly implements multiple graphics cards, otherwise it wouldn't work for any guest. That makes it likely that you have a guest configuration problem.
