Hello,
I'm using XP SP3 on a Mac Host (10.9.2) and having a few problems. The reason I installed the program was to play some old games I had as a kid, but the two I'd like to use are not working. The first, empire earth 2, displays a message saying "a required texture format (DXTC) is not supported by your display adapter". The second, I installed and it went fine, I double click to run the program and the first window appears. However, I click to run the game and instead of loading it just goes blank. This also happened for a different version of EE2. Don't really know what's going on with either of those, so any help would be appreciated!

Re: DXTC; Programs Won't Run
Programs like these tend to push the physical hardware to their limit, often accessing the hardware directly. Virtual machines will never be as powerful as the host, specially on the video side. Applications that have high requirements on the GPU (drawing, 3D, games, video) are expected to not work as good as on the real hardware, if they work at all.

Re: DXTC; Programs Won't Run
Empire Earth II will run on Codeweavers Crossover and is supposed to run in Wine with it's "Emulate Desktop".
