Hello,
I have a KUbuntu 14.04 guest.
I am trying to mount a shared folder but I have the followed error:

Code: Select all

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on VmShare,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
(for several filesystems (e.g. nfs, cifs) you might
       need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program)
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so
The command

Code: Select all

dmesg | tail
gives the following result:

Code: Select all

[ 11.008314] intel8x0: measured clock 137471 rejected
[ 11.368578] intel8x0_measure_ac97_clock: measured 56214 usecs (7200 samples)

Please, what is going wrong?

did you add yourself to the vboxsf group?

if not, open Konsole and type...

Code: Select all

sudo adduser user vboxsf
replace 'user' with your login name.
restart Kubuntu.

well, then you have run into a bug that is in VB 4.3.10 which will be fixed in the next version. In the mean time, in VirtualBox with Kubuntu shutdown, delete the shared folder from "Shared folders". Re-add the folder you want to share but select auto-mount, start Kubuntu, the shared folder will be in /media.

go up to your first post, click edit, type (Solved) in the front of the title. then save.
