We need the VM log, not the VBoxSVC log. We also need a complete log, not a summary of it.

Right click on the VM in the GUI, select "Show Log". Save and compress the "VBox.log" file, attach the zip to a message here.

It looks like the VM is getting some kind of I/O error passed back from your CD burner.

You are using a Virtual (Simulated) PC. Using actual physical hardware is not one of the strengths of a VM. The CD passthrough mode is experimental, not always reliable, and in this case the error could be a VirtualBox bug, or have an external cause such as defective media, a buggy host driver etc.

In what sense did the VM crash? I see no "Guru Meditation" being reported in the log file, in fact the log just terminates suddenly immediately after the above messages. Perhaps you should raise a BugTracker ticket about the fact that the host error causes a VM abort, which of course it shouldn't.

When it gets to that point the screen stops I get another window open that says the program is not responding and stopped working. How do I go about opening a bug tracker?

Bugtracker. Either search for an appropriate bug where you'll attach your logs and other vital information, or open a new bug report.
