Kali does not detect wireless

This is I think specific to running Kali in VB as my Centos and FreeBSD server run fine in their virtual machines.
When I do a iwconfig in Kali, it says no wireless extensions.
My internet, however, is working as I am able to ping 4.2.2.2.
I am running an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 6150. It came built into my ASUS laptop.
Can anyone advise? Thanks !

Not exactly a surprise. The guest doesn't see a wireless connection because it doesn't have wireless. Your host might have, but we both know that's irrelevant, right?
I would suggest just enabling NAT in the VM settings, and let the guest OS work out how to get internet.

It doesnt work on NAT or bridged. I'm looking up stuff in kali today to see if there's some configuration issue going on. But if anyone happens to know kali feel free to point me in the right direction too:)

There is no configuration issue. Your Kali guest has VIRTUAL hardware. It DOES NOT have a wireless adapter. Only wired.

I looked into this more and since I'm using VB, it is not reading the wireless since it's not USB. It is with the laptop. But if I get certain usb wireless adapter, it will work

In theory, a USB wireless or 3G/4G dongle should work. In practice, controlling physical hardware is not what a VM is best at. It will very much depend on how fussy the specific device is.
