GPF on grsecurity guests after update to 4.3.10

Post by KintaroBC »

I run a Debian Wheezy host and updated from VirtualBox 4.3.7 to 4.3.10 recently. Since then guests using a grsecurity kernel with the recommended settings for VirtualBox no longer work. I get a general protection fault upon boot after the update. Otherwise my configuration has stayed the same. The guests are headless. I am not used to problems with VirtualBox so feel free to request any additional information from me.

Here is the console output:

Please provide VBox.log for the failing VM. It contains all the configuration settings and a lot more.

Unfortunately VirtualBox has deleted the logs prior to rolling back the packages to 4.3.6. I won't be able to provide them until I try this again some time in the future. That means more downtime.

I might try and reproduce the problem on another system, and get the logs.
