Guest Additions

OK having a problem with screen resolution and size on a Ubuntu guest on a Windows host. I realise I need to install 'guest additions' but where do I find them??

The users manual, starting at chapter 4.2.1.1 is a good place to find them.

Also, Ubuntu has a package for the guest additions available in Synaptic

That works *IF* you installed their version of VirtualBox. If however you installed the one from VirtualBox.org you really should use the official guest additions that are supplied in the VirtualBox package. Mixing different GAs and builds are not suggested and can cause issues.
