Hi,
After upgrading my VirtualBox 4.3.6 to 4.3.8 (and to 4.3.10 too) my Windows 8.1 Pro installation crashed with any chance to correct. Only system restore worked.
I got a BSOD with this error: <<bugcode_ndis_driver>>.
My system is a DELL XPS 8100 with Broadcom BCM57780 as a network card.
Sure XPS 8100 is not certified with Windows 8 but 4.3.6 version works perfectly.
What could be happened?
Thanks in advance.

Why exactly do you believe that it is VirtualBox that is responsible for this?

Hi Socratis,
I'm absoulutely positively sure for this reason:
I tried two times to upgrade my version and in both cases I got the same crash (BSOD) and error after the very first restart!
Thanks.
Enrico

What is the BSOD that you're getting? Any logs, screenshots, something that points to VirtualBox? We need details! We simply can't help you if you simply say "VBox crashes my computer".

Re: VirtualBox 4.3.8 and later on Windows 8.1 Pro
I'm sorry Socratis but I just checked my PC and I don't have any log. No minidump file, no event in event viewer... my only info is a BSOD with BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER.
Sure my driver gave me other issues with Windows 8 cause my system is not certified but so far eveything works very well. I'm really satisfied.
In my opinion it's very hard that this crash happened two time could be caused by another application and/or installation but everything is possible.
Anyway no prob, I love virtualbox and I will stay on 4.3.6.
Thanks.
